Abstract

Footstep power generation (FPG) has emerged as an innovative solution for harnessing mechanical energy produced by human footsteps to generate electricity. This renewable energy source is ideal for high-traffic urban environments where human activity can contribute to localized power production. The paper investigates the working principles, technology platforms, and challenges associated with FPG, highlighting its applications in urban infrastructure, public spaces, and smart cities. The study also evaluates the potential for improving system efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability, offering insight into the future viability of footstep power as a key player in sustainable energy solutions.
